Weve been sprung!!! Steve just had his exit appointment with his MD Anderson stem cell doctor, got the CVC lines removed from his chest, and were outta there. Will see family in Austin and be back in Stillwater Saturday night, with Steve having a new immune system (his 3d). A time of thanksgiving, for sure. Thank you to all of you who have been supporting, praying, and/or remembering us through the 7 months (yes, 7 months!) we have been away from home. When you go around the table and say What Im thankful for on Thursday, dont forget to include Steves anonymous donor, and the many other things that allowed this outcome. Prayers of gratitude will be going up from a Toyota Avalon along I35 as we head HOME.
