Weve been to the emergency room countless times since Kai was diagnosed with Crohns last year. I thought I would have to take her tonight after a sudden onset of severe abdominal cramping but she seems to be doing better. Its always difficult to determine exactly when to go or when to wait it out since a tremendous amount of discomfort comes along with this disease including severe stomach cramping and body aches. Shes had three medical procedures since September while trying to get through her last year of high school. Neither she nor I are complaining. Im always reminding her to be mindful of how fortunate she is despite this challenge. But, its difficult watching her deal with this while we find ways to treat / heal / cure this. Exhausted but still EXTREMELY grateful!
