:)! Weve been waiting for language to really click for Katie. Its been a completely foreign concept for her, and she had to literally grow new neuropaths in her brain for language. Weve waited for a big language growth spurt. We GOT ONE, a language EXPLOSION! Over the weekend, Katie has SPONTANEOUSLY signed, with intended meaning and correctly, several signs without prompting. Mommy, Daddy, more, eat, peanut, candy, cookie, no, juice, water. Some are perfect, some are her baby approximations, just like a toddler learning to talk. I prayed for this, I wept for this. This was my humble goal for her for the END of this school year, 10 signs with meaning and spontaneous. I realized how amazing shes done when I just wrote out the weekend notes for her team. Yes!!!!! #ibelieveinKatie
