Weve had a successful morning so far reaching out into the community going door-to-door talking one-on-one with students that have dropped out. Im with a group of three others; two of them from TUSD and Lt. Buckley from TPD. We had a great connection with one young man who recognized me from the news. He lacks only a few credits to graduate. We gave him a pep talk and options on how he can finish school. He thanked us for caring and said he would get back into school. It was a wonderful feeling and I hope he does. TUSD will follow up with all of these kids we visited today.
