Weve probably each said, The worst thing that could ever happen to me is to lose a child. And......when that worst thing happened to us -- we lost a child -- we realized that its worse that we could ever have imagined. Prior to losing a child, the thought was fleeting, but when child loss really happened and became part of our life we realized that this loss is indescribable. We cannot put into words how the aching, ongoing pain feels. Its a pain that is always there, and no matter what were doing or where we are going, or what we are thinking we always know, My child is not here. Oh, how much the reality of child loss changes our lives! Oh, how much the realness of child loss hurts every day for the remainder of our days on this earth!
