Weve survived another round of steroids!!! This morning, livi took her very last dose of steroids that she will hopefully ever need. As I wrote on my personal FB this morning, some days I think the steroids are harder than the actual chemo. Chemo just makes her tired and pale, the steroids make her talk funny, gives her the shakes, a crazy appetite, and of course, major mood swings. Even though she wasnt taking nearly as much as she was the first round, we could still tell a big difference in her. She even asked the other day when shed be done with the little white pills because she hates the way they make her feel. We all did a happy dance as she swallowed the last five pills this morning. Shes already in bed for the night and getting ready for our big day tomorrow! Tomorrow morning her and I will be boarding a Delta plane and flying to the Northpole!!! We learned about a month ago that our favorite Child Life specialists picked Livi to be her nomination for a trip to the Northpole for a special party with Santa and Ms. Claus! This is a big deal at CHOA. Only 50 kids from both CHOA hospitals get picked each year to go. They go all out with it and weve heard its one of the best surprises that CHOA puts on for the kids. Its literally a once and a life time thing, so thats why weve been trying so hard to keep her well this week. To say shes excited would be an understatement! I dont think shes ever willingly gone to bed this early before. Cannot wait to share the pictures with you all! Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Thank you all for the love! 💜 -Amber
