Weve talking here about this track as an anthem for converted Noes but is it also perhaps relevant a bit closer to home? Cards on table: Im not one of these heroes or heroines whove been at this game for decades. I was never anti-indy but I became a classic Gen X slacker whos only been snapped out of political apathy in the past year or so by the mysterious, fascinating and kind of unprecedented spirit thats now in the air. The only period that came close to this for me was the rave movement in the late eighties and early nineties, though of course that only faintly hinted at the community-building, bottom-upness, energy, teamwork, I-cant-believe-this-is-really-happening thats now transforming our country. But the spirit was kind of similar. Fiona Robertson, one of this groups main contributors, believes its vital that our movement reaches out not just to Undecideds and Noes but to soft Yesses, and that seems right. How sad and grotesque it would be for them -- our any of the rest of us -- to sink back into apathy from where we are today. So turn your speakers up, get on your feet and shake yer Yes Alliance pants and big blue foamy finger to this. Who knows, pretty soon even Bobby Gillespie himself will join us. #yesallianceaction #thescottishenlightenment2 #viscacatalunya MOVIN ON UP I was blind, now I can see You made a believer out of me I was blind, now I can see You made a believer out of me Im movin on up now Getting out of the darkness My light shines on My light shines on My light shines on I was lost Now Im found I believe in you I got no bounds I was lost Now Im found I believe in you I got no bounds Im movin on up now Getting out of the darkness My light shines on My light shines on My light shines on Im gettin out of the darkness My light shines on Im gettin out of the darkness my light shines on If you got it you can have it You cana have it If you got it If you got it You can have it Gonna move it on up Songwriters: INNES, ANDREW COLIN / GILLESPIE, BOBBY / YOUNG, ROBERT CLEARIE youtube/watch?v=44m7CtYJ1Og
