“We’re crying every day. We want to see our Parents” Back 1995, One of Sad moment in my Life-Time. “The situation is not very nice here. I would like to leave this place as soon as possible,” Jean Ndikumana and other siblings says. It was one of my sad moment experienced in my life time I met this Unaccompanied Minors back in 1995 at Musuhura Rwandese refugee camp in Ngara, Tanzania, while I was working with Christian Outreach/Tear Fund Alliance. These children were victims of worst massacres of the Rwanda genocide in 1994 and decided to flee to Tanzania seeking for refugee asylum. Basically, what they were saying “We’re crying every day. We’re crying because we want to see our parents and leave this place. We feel so bored.” This is just a big picture of the refugee situation in many places world wide. Mostly, Women and Children are the main victims of the circumstances (i.e the right hand photo shows Rwandese refugee children carrying tree for building their house). We should NOT ask this kind of situation to happen in our beloved Country. Dear God Please keep all the refugees safe. And please protect all their families wherever they are.
