We’re home! Honey was evicted, freed, released, and blessed at noon today much to our surprise and delight. Preparing to leave, sweet nurse Jamie (who had “gone the distance” with Honey the past two days) explained med instructions, hugged her, gave us parting instructions, hugged her, rolled her out to the car, hugged her and sent us on our way. Here seven hours later, we’re doing okay – pain still present but Honey says it’s manageable. She had a good nap, Nathan and I chopped down the Christmas tree and he headed back to Birmingham. I crated and stored the last of the decorations with a hope that we can find what we’re looking for next year. Honey is in and out of her manger, puttering around in the kitchen in slo-mo taking a bite every now and then, and planning to watch Downton Abbey in a bit. Tomorrow morning she has an appointment with Doc Penley and hopefully he will have biopsy results and a definitive plan moving forward. Words are woefully weak to express our gratitude for your gestures of support and words of encouragement. You are so ably and faithfully embodying the human side of “all I have needed, [God’s] hand hath provided.” Thank you. M & H
