We’re still looking for a home for Brenckles and her two kittens, Eustis and Clara. The latter are three months old now, still incredibly playful, but their individual personalities are beginning to emerge. Clara is a little calmer, very cuddly, with an amazingly loud purr coming from her little body. Eustis is a bit crazier; he loves people, but generally seems to have Very Important Kitten Business (tm) to which to run off and attend. As for mom Brenckles…well, she so desperately wants to be someone’s special cat that it’s almost painful. She’s started coming to bed with us, and following us around the house, looking for attention. She is going to make a wonderful companion for someone. There’s some added urgency to the situation because we found out yesterday that one of our resident cats is gravely ill. Providing Myriam a quiet, stable home where we can give her the care and attention she will require (and deserves) is now our top priority. Although we’d still prefer to see the kittens adopted together, we are open to considering any scenario that puts them in loving, safe permanent homes.
