We’re thrilled to inform you that Finn (formerly “Red” or “RedFinn”) has been ADOPTED! His wonderful new owner adores the ground Finn walks on. This lovely young man has grown up with Vizslas, and Finn will have many Vizsla and Labrador retriever cousins with whom to play, swim, and do zoomies. Both athletes, Finn and his owner will enjoy nearby trail runs, hikes, and a wonderful long life together. Here is Finn being loved by his new Furever Dad, and sleeping on his way home after a joyous meet & greet. Most interestingly, following his “jail time” in Nevada (kindly cared for by the Eureka, NV Sheriff’s Dept.), it turns out that Finn’s his new Dad is a Police Officer! Clearly, Finn was somehow destined to be involved with Law Enforcement all along…. With sincere thanks to all of those who helped Finn find his way home at last: Kim Protani, who took him to the SD and posted him on Rescue Me, to Gail Guetersloh Contreras and Tammy Parker Estes (who transported him from northern Nevada all the way to central CA), to collaborators Ann Prevost from SoCAVR and Cindy Yurek of NVVR, to Kay Ingle of NoCAVR, who so generously agreed to sponsor Finn and cover his expenses. Most of all, we thank Tammy Parker Estes, Finn’s Foster Mom. Tammy and her family were STELLAR FOSTERS, helping this poor boy to recover from near-starvation (likely he was having to hunt for food in the forest), getting him to and from all necessary Veterinary appointments and caring for him during surgical recovery, teaching him civilized manners, and helping him to understand Familyhood—perhaps for the very first time. Each of you has been simply wonderful. We also send appreciations to the many of you who offered to help or to adopt Finn. There is only one Finn, but likely more Vrescue dogs will be coming along and we will certainly keep all of you in mind. Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!
