We’ve identified the clubhouse “mini-projects” that will be financed from the weekly draw and intend to tackle one of them in the coming days. We’d like you (our Facebook followers) to choose which one you consider as the most appropriate to deal with first. Using the money generated from the weekly draw we will: a) Re-cover the seating in the back bar. Yes, they’re in need of some love and care and we can smarten them up pretty quickly if this is your preferred option #1 b) Modernise / decorate the back office. The office area is in dire need of a facelift where a new layout and decoration is long overdue. Maybe not everyone’s first thought and easy to dismiss but this is the working environment for both Gerry and Angela and also where club related meetings are held. c) Repair the club entrance way (beside the ladies changing room and ramp to main function hall). The entrance way is in need of repair to avoid members and guests bringing a little bit of the car park into the club with them each time they use it :) Reminder, all of the above items (and many more) will be considered for completion by the House committee thru the normal process and in due course. This post is simply an opportunity for everyone to have a say in how we allocate the monies raised outside of the House budget and via the weekly draw. Projects selected here will be scheduled as a priority and are all within the budget of the weekly draw running float. Any monies not used from the existing float will be held over and allocated against the next proposed “mini-projects”. The draw doesnt generate a huge deal of money but it helps with the little things and gives back to the members too. If youve got any mini-project suggestions for the next time were ready to spend please feel free to give us your opinion.
