What. A. Storm! Needless to say, we received copious amounts of precipitation! In the past 23 hours, the lake has risen 9.93 feet and added 125,811 acre feet of water (for perspective...40,995,693,882 gallons of water...almost 41 BILLION GALLONS). For the most part it seems that all of the marinas and businesses on the lake pulled through without any major incidents or losses. Most of them actually pull 24 hour shifts with maintenance to ensure all of the private moorage and rental boats remain safe. The goal now for the marinas is to keep moving and securing dock systems with the quickly rising waters. It looks as if the rain will continue to taper off the rest of today and we should get some sunshine tomorrow...but it looks like we will be back into rainy weather with the start of next week! :-D Lake Level Report (12/12/2014 at 8 AM) Lake Elevation: 913.06 (153.94 below full pool) Storage: 1,331,563 af Outflow: 296 cfs Inflow: 66,542 cfs Precipitation (24 hr @ dam): 6.09 Precipitation (Season @ dam): 22.57
