What Does Being A Servant Or Slave Of Jesus Christ Look Like? And, Does HUMILITY Have Its Place In Your Description? Lets see... Luke 14:7-14, When Jesus noticed that all who had come to the dinner were trying to sit in the seats of honor near the head of the table, he gave then this advice: When you are invited to a wedding feast, dont sit in the seat of honor. What if someone who is more distinguished than you has also been invited? The host will come and say, Give this person your seat. Then you will be embarrassed, and you will have to take whatever seat is left at the foot of the table! Instead, take the lowest place at the foot of the table. Then when your host sees you, he will come and say, Friend, we have a better place for you! Then you will be honored in front of all the other guests. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. Then he turned to his host, When you put on a luncheon or a banquet, dont invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors. For they will invite you back, and that will be your only reward. Instead, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. Then at the resurrection of the righteous, God will reward you for inviting those who could not repay you...... At the resurrection of the righteous... This sentence caught my attention as I was rereading this piece of Scripture.... Those will be the ones who have chosen to follow Jesus Christ and be His hands, feet, and voice to a lost and compromising world!!!.. What makes you think that you fit in this category? Are you loving the Lord our God more than anything? Are you loving your neighbor as yourself? Or, do you invite people who are less fortunate to your cookouts? Mmmm?..... I believe the reason the Lord wanted me to bring this topic up, is because, at the present moment, HE DOESNT SEE TOO MANY WHO FIT THIS DESCRIPTION!!!.... Are you also seeing what Hes seeing?... I know Im not any better than anyone else, but IM SEEING WHAT HE IS SEEING!!!...... I think His heart is being broken when He sees multitudes daily, who are exalting themselves throughout the week, but choosing to humble themselves before Him, for the couple of hours at church on Sunday mornings.... Can I ask you again, Are you not seeing the same thing, my friends?...... Where has Jesus gone, in our weekly lifestyles?.....Gods Word says that in the last days people would be lovers of themselves, and their money, more than God... So, back to the sentence that caught my eye: At the resurrection of the righteous - Are you positive that you will placed in the category of the righteous? If you can say, Yes, then Jesus Christ must be your everything..... Is He?... I want to make sure my friends!! I want there to be one of you who read these post, to tap me on the shoulder when I get to heaven, if I make it, and say, Thank you for helping me get here! The challenge you brought to us daily, it helped me to see that I had back slid off that narrow road, and was choosing to occupy the popular road that was dragging me to the fires of hell! Thank you!.... We all need to wake up to the truths of Gods Word and LIVE THEM!!! Is there anyone whos willing to do this? Well see............
