What Does It Take? What does it take for you to see To sit with you endlessly Hours... upon hours... never ending Walking with you from page to page Breaking down words in order to build them up again Breaking me down so that I can bend... to pick you up and then... To originate phrases that best describes your intellect Didnt you know that it would eventually take affect ... of my intelligence as well? And what does it take to motivate you? To leave a place where I lay my head? To procreate whats inside of yours instead? To take short trips and long nights of pondering? How long am I going to keep wondering? To disagree that we are in this thing together and remembering that you came to me? ... And no Im not ready to set you free! What does it take... To wait patiently while you pick specially picked flowers For someone else that didnt put in the hours? And to those that cant even see what you mean to me? To have conversations about your creations that you brought to my table... for me to place my label of love? A gift from God ... A seed that you bathe... A seed that manifested...not in you... But inside of me instead What does it take while I sit and wait ... read a book? And no... not the one that you cooked But a magazine with a recipe that has the ingredients to set you free from those that are trying to take you away from me! What does it take? To go north away from the south? To take you away from prevaricated lips and reprobating mouths? To build you up so high... That theyll have to grow wings and fly to get to you? What does it take... For those that are willing to wait... just to see how long it would take for you to fall? A life time if you ask me! And what does it take... To set you up on a pedestal... showing off the medals... the treasures? Yes... that manifested inside while in your mothers womb! What does it take? Im not selfish at all Im willing to share... but only with those that truly care... the same as I do.... its all in your mind what I need to find To publish that you feel the same as I do But no! You dare show that you really care Thinking that the world will take advantage of you Listen... this is where God place me... so dont be afraid to face me... I shed plenty of tears too! What does it take? Please dont hesitate and make no mistake But then how can you do that if deep down you know where I am? And if you dont... just take the time to look around Youll see that the Lord got me shackled and bound... 100% behind you And with Blessings bestowed upon two...
