What Earnie A. Joe said! My mother is upset with me because I bought her a KitchenAid mixer for her birthday and she she said it cost too much. Oh well, I aint takin it back! Anyway, I also took her out for breakfast for her birthday and ended up working Wendy Davis into the conversation with the waitress. The waitress was named Wendy, so I said, Ah, your name is Wendy, like our next Governor of Texas. And she seemed kind of clueless. I asked her if she was registered to vote and she said she was. Then I started telling her about how Greg Abbott is against legislation requiring equal pay for women, how one of his spokespersons said women need to be better negotiators, how the women in his own office make an average of $6k less per year than the men, etc. She was like, OMG. I didnt know that. I need to better educate myself and spread the word. She stood there and talked to me for like 10 minutes! I was hoping she would not get into trouble. Gotta educate folks wherever and whenever. Im not as bad as I used to be. I used to go up to diners in restaurants and ask them if they were registered to vote and if they werent, I would register them right there. Im actually surprised I didnt get thrown out of some restaurants to tell the truth.
