What I have learned... Arizona is made of red dirt and hotter - TopicsExpress

What I have learned... Arizona is made of red dirt and hotter than hell, and anyone interested in becoming a hermit has great options between here and Texas. Every roof is completely flat, and the architecture reminds me of motels from the 70s. I have no clue what an aurora is, or how a rock decided what color mine is. Native Americans have the best toys ever. There is no iced tea, sweet or not, its green or black or pomegranate. Cactuss are obscene objects that have no rhyme or reason, 14 arms or none at all. For a desert, its has something called MONSOON season, and it doesnt disappoint, yest no one has flood insurance. They cram an entire Walmart into a 7-11. Texas hair and drag queen make up are not made for 100 degree situations. And my favorites, milk jugs with H2O are a fashion accessory and NO ONE has a hint of a tan. I have learned I am an East Coast girl... I like grass as far as i can see, big shady green trees, hilly fields of woods surrounded by crops where impromptu beer drinking and bonfires occur. I like an ocean breeze, sandbars, a face full of salt water and the smell of fishy docks. I like fattening home cooked meals made with gluten, lard and love. A costume of any kind is always appropriate, and is celebrated, Im proud to be someone who smiles for no reason and says hi, holds the door, and helps just cause . The world is made of all kinds and looks different from one side of this glorious country to the next.. Im glad i got to experience it all, but Im sure glad Im southern....
