What I learned at Jury Duty: Only 20% of the those summoned bothered to show up... Some (a lot) consider t-shirts and shorts appropriate court attire... I should have brought a book or had games on my phone.... In a civil case if the Plaintiff and Defendant do not show up (even though their lawyers do) the Judge gets upset, apologizes for wasting our morning, and dismisses the jury after an hour an a half. So we were out by 10:20 am.
