What I learned this past week: 1. God never places those He trusts in a place where there is success, prosperity and no war. What would be the point? 2. God has given you (me) a seed/vision. Most of time you find yourself fighting birds so that they should not eat the seed. Birds are the greatest enemies of seed. Birds are unstable and they have no loyalty. They fly away where there is an element of shaking. Birds cant stand challenges. They are not stable. They do not even announce when they go. When the seed has germinated, you have to spend most of the time preventing the birds from eating the small crop/tree/plant. Birds are destructive, but they dont see themselves as their objective is to feed themselves. Hungry people are dangerous. But when the tree is all grown up, when they can no longer destroy it, they are the ones that invite themselves to benefit from the shade of the tree. They even invite their families to build nests in the tree without shame. Remember that this is the same tree that came from the seed that they wanted to destroy and eat. (Thanks to Pastor Montoedi Kotu) Reflection : 1. Do you have friends that have the tendencies of birds? 2. Are you such a friend? 3. Do you have a seed, vision? Do you understand the challenges that you will go through to have the vision manifest or be realised? Do you understand that sometimes you will have to be unpopular as you chase the birds away from the seed or the small plants? Do you realise that the birds will keep on coming and you will have to have strength to fight them off all the time 4. Do you know that the same birds will even think they are better off than you because they can fly? Flying, could be the friends think that just because they have talent, money or resources they are better than you? One thing you have to know, be assured that they will have to land one day.
