What I learned tonight: according to the folks at Brainstormers who provide questions for pub trivia, apparently Morocco is somehow a European country now. Could somebody take a look at a world map and tell me how the f*** this is even geographically possible?! The question was, what is the only African country through which you can reach the continent of Europe by land? The answer was Algeria, since it is the only country that borders Morocco. (Youll notice that Morocco is also bordered to the south by the Western Sahara, which is an uninhabited region that is not actually a country.) In my 5+ years of attending team trivia, Im officially calling this the most invalid BS question Ive ever heard. For the record, it didnt determine whether we placed or not, but thats not the point. Come on, Brainstormers, youre better than this.
