What I like about taking part in races like this is not just about the run itself. It is about people. You see participants on wheelchairs, you see the hearing-impaired. You see the visually challenged, aided by a guide, both holding on to one end of the string. Though not physically connected, yet you can feel the strongest connection between them. Watching these participants and having the opportunity to show some sign of encouragement to these strangers as you ran alongside them is part of the spirit. I encourage everyone of you to take part in such run, nevermind the timing, nevermind if you dislike running, unless you have some medical conditions that forbid you from doing so. Better still, get some friends to join you. :)
