What I like to refer to as the kitchen sick protocol of peaking - TopicsExpress

What I like to refer to as the kitchen sick protocol of peaking which seems to be the case at every level is far from ideal or even logical. Why you would want to take a body that has been running on consistency in terms of nutrition, electrolytes and water and completely change all of that within the last 24-48 hours makes absolutely no sense. Changes and manipulations need to based off of the athletes response on an hour to every few hour basis not off a a set in stone template written together off of assumptions a week prior. An athlete that has given their all to the dieting and training process for 12+ weeks deserves individualized peak week planning not a set in stone flip of a coin approach hoping it all comes together right at the right time.
