What I love about December..... I love picking out new pajamas for my kids.... I love peppermint.... I love winter soups and hot spiced tea.... I love gingerbread.... I love playing board games around a brightly lit tree when its the only light in the room! But one of the things that made me dread this season for so many years, has become one of the most powerful, meaningful memories I have. The last time I ever saw my Mothers beautiful face, was in December so many years ago. For so long, the music, the scents and family gatherings made me physically ill, because it all made me so sad not having her. My life was never the same after that December 13th, but my Lord has never changed. And I am grateful for the healing He has brought to my life and the fact that I enjoy once again, watching sappy Christmas movies, singing carols and the tastes of all the food! Its a miracle to me, and I pray if you struggle with sadness during this time, that The Lord comforts you as only He can do. Now..... What do YOU love about December?
