What I miss about my home town: Hearing the trains Listening to the gins running at night Crop dusters!(not the stuff they spray) Seeing fields and fields of cotton ready to pick(all beaten down this year) Worms on a catalpa tree (best fishing worms ever!) Being able to dig in the yard without ever running into a big rock Sand Wooden Bridges Family Knowing everyone and their parents and grandparents Calling a house the old(insert family name)house and everyone knowing which house you are talking about Knowing all the names on the headstones at the cemetery or knowing someone kin to them Not having to worry about ticks Never having to walk up a hill What I dont miss about my home town: mosquitos mosquito spray sandburs one mosquito in the bedroom at night mosquitos Off road ditches (very few here) green stagnate water run off from the fields into the water
