What I remember the most from experiencing The DALAI LAMA speak - TopicsExpress

What I remember the most from experiencing The DALAI LAMA speak yesterday was what he said about that we are all the same... We all go through the same emotions of guilt, anger, pain, fear, all the suffering is there in all of us... Meditation is a way we can learn how to deal with this suffering. Accepting and observing all emotion and feeling, being mindful of the changes in the body, and sensing that is what all spiritual teachers are talking about. The Dalai Lama is encouraging to practice mindfulness and to be present and focus on the nothingness, and the peace in between the suffering. That this will make the peace grow. The Dalai Lama or the Buddhist teachings DOES NOT talk about EXPRESSING emotions, the tabu and shame associated with expressing emotions is great, it is considered crazy in most social arenas. So in Buddhist meditation emotions are observed as they come to the surface during the purification process of meditation, but they are not expressed. This is a good tool to have, it helps us not to project our emotion onto others, and to survive in this masculine and quite controlling society we live in at the moment. So there is a great feminine aspect that are suppressed within the Buddhist teaching which is where The Dalai Lama comes from, and I am glad I know in my heart that the Goddess will not arise as long as I am holding back my emotions. The human emotions are like the colours of the rainbow, all the different colours makes us to who we are, and the colours are meant to paint the world, we are given them to create a heaven on earth, and it is up to each one of us if we use them.. :) I feel so ALIVE when I allow all my colours to shine... when I express through movement, laughter, tears, and sound I set myself free ♥ WHEN I AM IN THAT PLACE IN ME AND YOU ARE IN THAT PLACE IN YOU WE ARE ONE NAMASTE ♥ Camilla
