What I wrote on our exit essay.... The first time I attended - TopicsExpress

What I wrote on our exit essay.... The first time I attended the Bio101Lec class, I was thinking none but mere fear, feeling ill at ease, aching for the sunset and sunrise, missing the relative calm my home and my parents provided me. That time, I brought spare bullets, for I have nothing but stock knowledge from my good yet not-so-good high school academe. And, just as I expected, I failed the first quiz, giving me the impression that I most certainly will fail. Or so it was.... But then it hit me. It brought me to a conflict with my ideology that I came here to fight, to have my revenge. Every time there is a test, every time I fail one, regardless, I think not of failure. I know, I am a pessimistic person, but part of me tells that, No, you should fight back.. That was what I learnt on Bio101Lec, not in its literal sense, but in its essence.... There are other things I learnt from this not-so-easy subject, things like this gives an arduous task, this gives you the unexpected...and this you shall study hard, but for me, fighting back, it was something else. Anyway, the most enjoyable topic I had was basic botany. Yes, botany has a reputation for being one of the most dreaded subjects in history, and I for one had experienced that dread back in 2nd Year high school, but nevertheless, the sheer austerity of it made it my most enjoyed topic as of now; I know all things have an end but, hey, enjoy it while it lasts.... However, the perplexity of the chemistry topic made it the most grueling topic in my opinion. Yes, I can explain some phenomena involved in chemistry, but as for the terminologies and reactions, I have not the slightest idea. The activity I had fun the most was the quiz bee, maybe because of the sheer thrill made by the adrenaline rush, or by our desire to be on top, but one thing is clear: We had unity. Sadly, truth be told we only came second place, but at least, what a wonderful show that was - and is. But not all activities are amusing. We had once worked on a poster-making activity apropos an advertisement about an organelle, and instinctively, I told my group mates the familiar I volunteer!. It seemed as easy as it sounds, but when I started making the poster, I had glitches like how to make the concept, what should be the slogan...and to make matters worse, I had to painstakingly search for images appropriate for the poster, which took me too long a time. Fortuitously, I finished it earlier than I had expected. Nonetheless, I hope you take into consideration the suggestions I will give you, and without much ado, I will start.... First and foremost, I think future students will learn much faster if you will add more thrilling activities like that quiz bee. Second, I look forward to the time when you reduce the difficulty of your exams, perhaps by at least 5%; that is in my opinion, but as for the opinion of others, I leave it up to you. Third and most importantly, I think students can learn better from you if you become more..edic, for I have observed that most of the time, your Bio101Lec is soaked in deadpan seriousness. The end is near for this essay, and I hope I did not take too much of your time. And so, this concludes my essay....
