What Im about to post may surprise you. You have doubtless noticed Ive been posting all manner of invective against zionist Israel. And I have no intention of stopping until they stop the horrors theyre inflicting upon the world. But I also did something else you are not aware of. I did a private meditation wherein I attempted to see the situation from the perspective of an Israeli. Now, Israeli is a word that had many sub definitions; they are NOT a monolithic category by any stretch of the imagination. But in doing so, I have found my own position reinforced in such a way that much of the anger I have been experiencing is either gone, or has been somewhat mastered. We who aspire to tread a spiritual path (or attempting to be so) must NEVER act inequitably toward anyone; even our sworn enemies. To do so will cause us to imitate the oppression that we see inflicted upon those we call our own, and that we fear will be inflicted upon us. We stand in danger every moment to become the very thing we hate. And it may be that Allah will cause peace and friendship to manifest where there was once inconsolable hate. And Allah has absolute power over all things.
