What Inspires You? What inspires you? What compels you to do - TopicsExpress

What Inspires You? What inspires you? What compels you to do more than what is expected? Perhaps you do more than what is expected. Is that the case in everything you do? I am always looking for inspiration. I find it more often in the people around me and the little steps they make to self improvement. Elite Training Center is a great place to see this happen. So I guess a quick thank you should go out to everyone who steps onto the mat and shares their stories of why they are training. The trouble, the pain, the heartache some have felt or are feeling only inspires me to make sure that their experience is the most positive thing they will feel today. If we are ever short of that, always know we are aware that tomorrow will be better. Everyday we wake up and start a routine. Rarely do we wake up and think to ourselves, what more can I do today to make my life and the lives of others better? Sometimes we just do it without thinking about it. Think of the success we could have if we were conscious of it. Martial arts such as Krav Maga, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Kali Silat, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, etc. have all had conscious contributors to their systems. At Elite Training Center we remain conscious of improving all of our systems. It is equally important to improve ourselves and everyone around us. This isnt done by saying it, but by doing it. Focus on improving something this week. Pick what you want it to be. It can be anything such as the improvement of a relationship with a family member, your wife, your co-worker. Then choose something personal such as your training routine or an element within a system you train in. Perhaps your base needs improvement in your Muay Thai. Do your take downs need work in MMA? Could you be more focused on a particular piece of Krav Maga? Whatever it is, write it down. Keep a daily log as to what you did each day to make things better. By doing this, your life will be a work in progress and good enough wont exist. This is not to negate any of the wonderful work youve done to improve your lives thus far, but more importantly so you can have something visible in front of you, knowing full well that you did something to improve your life and in turn the life of someone else. Do something better today than you did yesterday. As the saying goes, your worst day at the gym is better than your best day on the couch (you know what I mean) S.
