What Is Your Relationship With GOD? In our modern society there - TopicsExpress

What Is Your Relationship With GOD? In our modern society there is a great deal of disagreement concerning the legal limitations on the expression of one’s religious beliefs. My question is: Does your belief in GOD merely mean that you are to follow some type or religious formality, or do you have a genuine faith and a meaningful relationship with our HEAVENLY FATHER? Our faith in GOD [and our willingness to share and express that faith publicly] may be used on occasion by people who are in positions of authority over us to place limits on us. And their reasoning [in each occasion] may be that our religion is not to be practiced in certain instances [the work place is off limits and/or we should not be putting so much significance on our belief in GOD]. But [even though our faith is always a work in progress] that must never limited our heart’s desire to build a relationship with our HEAVENLY FATHER. I did not have a close relationship with my earthly father while growing up, but I was raised in a climate where the importance of building a close relationship with THE LORD GOD was stressed [and encouraged] by those who I had daily contact with. I am firmly convinced that that played a very important role in how my life has progressed. As I look back over the decades of my life, I am able to see my relationship with GOD at work when it was needed. “Come near to GOD, and HE will come near to you. Sinners clean up your lives. Purify your hearts, you people who can’t seem to make up your minds.” – [James 4:8] Today as we pray, we will express our appreciation to GOD for HIS faithful willingness to be with us each step of our life’s journey, and we will thank HIM for never leaving us alone.
