What Ive Read: Leg Up: The Courage to Dream by Louis J. Castriota, Jr. My friend Louie Castriota is quite a guy. His daughter Brooke was born with special needs. He and and his wife, after sampling what the medical and educational establishment have in store for these children and their families, thought there must be a better way. For 14 years no obstacle too high or no fence too wide for Louie. They told him, no...he didnt listen...they told him go away... he didnt. He and and his family and a cobbled collection of angels as he calls them have started Leg-Up Farm near York Pa. It features equestrian therapy, services for the famililies, and , a little town for kids of all difficulties to hone their socialization skills, a school,and coming soon...a working nursery...all on moxie, and a dream. What a magnificent place it is! Leg Up is Louies can do story and the people whose lives hes changed. A quick read but as inspirational story as youll read in your lifetime. Five jimmys out of five.
