What Must We Do To Inherit Eternal Life? Lets see... Luke 10:25-28, One day an expert of religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life? Jesus replied, What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it? The man answered, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.. Right! Jesus told him. Do this and you will live!...... Ok, if we are saved by the grace of God, but some time down the road, we choose to allow our selfish and worldly desires to overshadow our love for Christ Jesus. What then? Mmmm?..... If Jesus Christ says for us to inherit eternal life, that we MUST love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.. But, what if we, through our busyness and idol worship, we start reflecting that we really dont love God as much as we used to. What then? The reason I want to know this answer, is because, this type of lifestyle is being lived-out by 99.9% of all church-goers in our generation today!!!! WE DONT LOVE THE LORD OUR GOD, MORE THAN ANYTHING, ANYMORE!!!!... What if we started seeing the warnings from God, in the Bible, that shows the results if we choose idol worship, and this kind of worship is running rampant in our Nation today, if we choose to love this world more than we do Jesus Christ??? In Revelation 3:1-6, tells us what will happen when we do choose to love the Lord our God more than anything.. Jesus says, I will never erase their names from the Book of Life!...Mmmm! So, what I get from this particular passage in Revelation, is, if we choose to live our lives away from loving the Lord our God more than anything, then we give God no choice but to erase our names from his Book of Life!!!... Our choice, not His!!!.... MY HEART IS PUMPING THROUGH MY CHEST, RIGHT NOW!!!.. The Spirit of God is so amazing, when we allow Him to be!!!......When I received this message, in Gods Word, over 10 years ago, of how we are to inherit eternal life, and why we wont, I started allowing the Spirit of God to apply the Word of God to my lifestyle, so that my eyes would stay focused on the Son of God, and Father God would see me as a child of God!!!....... Today, are you loving Jesus Christ more than anything? Or, have you become part of the multitudes who are choosing to love this world, and the things in it, more than Christ Jesus, and still think they will inherit eternal life? Mmmm? Which lifestyle best describes you, my friends? CHOICES!!
