What Papua New Guineans must know is that Australia wants Peter ONeill as PNGs Prime Minister. They have done well to remove Somare from the scene, they will do anything to keep any Melanesian man who has guts to stand up be put down. They tried in Fiji and failed and now they have failed in Vanuatu. They still have issues in Solomon Island. The focus is now on PNG. Since 2006 USA become sick of Australia weak foreign policy towards PNG seeing Chinese influence they have been doing more and trying to catch up with Chinese. The problem with Peter ONeill and hes bandwagoon is he will do anything for cheque diplomacy. The guy has no values, no political vision. Somare gave Papua New Guineans freedom to protest.
