What: Smash Gym When: Sunday, 19th of October. 11am to 7pm Where: 26/346 Pennant Hills Rd, Carlingford What to bring: Controllers, Setups (Message me if you are bringing equipment) What games: Smash 4, Melee, P:M Why: Fill in the downtime between tournaments Im announcing a (roughly) fortnightly meetup/tournament event for smash 4, Melee, and P:M. The goal right now is tournament/bracket experience and general improvement. Several small tournament brackets will be run throughout the day with a small buy-in (e.g. $1). In the downtime between brackets, there will be a fern ladder to partake in. What really happens on the day will come down to what people want to do on the day and what they want to focus on. Ill hopefully have a recording setup for people to use and Im happy to upload videos upon request. I have a cap of 20 entrants in my apartment, so Im creating a facebook event to manage attendance. If youre coming from Central, you can either catch a train to Carlingford Station (transfer at Clyde needed) and walk to my place (5 minutes) or catch a train to Epping and then catch the m54 to a bus stop across the road from my house. Both take a similar amount of time. Other than that, youll need to figure out your own way in (transportnsw.info/). **************************************************** What can I eat? Theres heaps to choose from in area, theres a big shopping centre only 5 minutes walk away with a pretty decked out food court. Theres even a few restaurants to choose from if enough people want to have dinner out. If theres enough interest, I can book a table at the nearby Korean BBQ buffet.
