What?! So, uhm ...25 years since there was a skateboard with my name on it, Pocket Pistols Skates has produced a guest model for me, with incredible art by Matt French! Im honored of course, humbled, shocked really... and as usual, I also feel a little odd having my name on a board... and I sure wish I was skating as good (its a relative concept, I know) as I had been over the last few years [I am working on it... skating often, feeling pretty healthy... so much still to learn, relearn, and (re)relearn, and so much weight to lose ;) ] ...so, those out there who dont really dig me, or who think I dont deserve it, dont worry, I doubt it myself. To those who are stoked, many whove already let me know, you have no idea how much your support and encouragement means to me. Surprise! I just got to see the actual board yesterday. I couldnt believe the package waiting for me when I got home late last night - Id only just heard that the board was actually done. So damn stoked! The idea came up months ago and with busy work, life and skate schedules, it was sort of back-burner, and Id essentially forgotten that this might be coming one of these days... Check out the photos. 15 and 1/2 wheelbase, just under 9 wide, and I really dig the shape. Gratitude. I really want to thank Chicken at PPS, Matt French for the art, sent to me as a pencil drawing a several months ago... If youd asked me then I would have told you I didnt believe it would come to be, and especially Spidey De Montrond for believing in me, getting me in touch with Chicken, and helping make this happen all along the way. Also thanks to anyone who has been behind, in real life - and in fakebook. I definitely feel the love. Available now!
