What The Bible Says About Self Righteousness Self-Righteousness Surely thy hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying, I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me. Job 33:8,9 Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God’s? Job 35:2 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
