What? Wait. If a person is convicted of a crime, isnt that fact - TopicsExpress

What? Wait. If a person is convicted of a crime, isnt that fact public record? Telling the world that someone did something, is shaming them? So if reporters report that someone did something, can ya sue the reporter? If the police post wanted signs, isnt that shaming? Okay... What if, the store owner posted the picture, but with a disclaimer like, Might be a shoplifter? Or, I saw this person steal stuff from my store, but I aint saying hes guilty? People do what they can to make a living and defend their property, and those who would harm their efforts have more rights? Really??? Im all for waiting for a conviction, before posting, but after conviction, a person should be able to call a thief - A THIEF. Thats not shaming. Its stating a fact. My favorite part of this story is where the lawyer says hed take the case if he could make a buck from it. Right/Wrong... Only thing that matters to too many people is: Can I make a buck? Lots of shame here. But, since no one can make a buck off caring about it, they wont. WHATEVER.
