What You Can Do: Adopt, don’t shop. If you can’t adopt, foster. If you can’t foster, donate. If you can’t donate, volunteer. If you can’t volunteer, educate. There are many, many things that YOU can do to help reduce the number of abandoned and surrendered pets • SPAY OR NEUTER: ALWAYS, ALWAYS, spay or neuter! The first step in reducing the number of homeless animals is to help prevent unwanted litters. • EDUCATE: Education is key to reducing the number of homeless pets. Learning the traits of specific breeds will help you understand your pets needs. This can help with training and other issues and ensure you have a great relationship with your pet. • VOLUNTEER: Almost every rescue organization in operation today is in desperate need of volunteers. This can mean fostering an animal in need of a temporary home until a forever home can be found, or simply helping out at local adoption events. Helping Orphaned Hounds holds adoption events at the PetSmart in Chandler, AZ located at the 202 and Gilbert Rd every other Saturday between 12pm and 4pm. • SPONSOR: Consider making a donation, big or small everything helps. All proceeds help provide vetting, care, and supplies.
