What?! You mean Breast Cancer is a thing? Why, I had no idea! Thanks for making me aware, boob cupcakes and pink everything. Weve had, what, 20 or so years and billions spent on this awareness campaign ever since Estée Lauder took the original peach ribbon (for breast cancer prevention research) and made it pink and marketable for breast cancer awareness? Hows that cure coming along, then? Or prevention. Any progress on that? What about cause? Anything? Oh, yeah. Shut up and buy more pink products (which tend to be the same products that are probably giving women breast cancer in the first place). Or sponsor more awareness runs for the cure that do no such thing. Or buy more newspapers on pink paper, or marvel at pink-lit buildings. Pink, pink, pink. Isnt it pretty in pink? No. Cancer is not pretty. Its not marketable. And none of these awareness campaigns do anything to find the cause, promote prevention or find a cure for the disease. But yeah, boob cupcakes. Thatll solve everything.
