What a GREAT!! first day/return back displaying at Shepton Mallet! :) We had a total of 9 visiting P6s parked up,and were joined by a selection of other P rovers and a 75. There were a total of about 15 rovers including a really nice 1 family owned 1974 V8auto in almond with 14k miles still sporting its original tyres and exhaust, plugs, points etc.and has only ever had a recent water pump,1 hose,+ oil and filter changes in its life! And yes,due to age cracking I have advised him to replace all 5 tyres ASAP! A potential 6 new members are coming your way Brian Humphreys. :) The stand was very busy, and I only managed a 15 min sit down all day! Bill and Mike were kept busy with questions about their respective cars as was I. Especially Bill with his 1967 P6 conversion in progress with the Volvo 2.3L 4 cyl turbo efi engine! Possibly unearthed a few cars as well that maybe for sale. One of which I will be going to see asap! Another chap has a lot of spares to shift,so more on that once he has passed on the info to me. Everyone who didnt know, has been directed to the clubs FB and website and the Classic Rover Forum for any help advice they may need! Same parking spaces reserved for Sunday, and I am hoping for a couple of local Nadas to turn up! So if you are coming in your P6,ask at the gate for the P6 parking area! Weather was brilliant today, hopefully it will continue for tomorrow! Here are a few pics to be going on with, and I will add a few more tomorrow! :) Click on a pic to view them all!
