What a Gorgeous looking guy! This guy has had a hard life but still 5 years young. Catahoulas have a much longer lifespan than most large dogs. And did I say Gorgeous? lol He does have an old eye injury and the onset of hip displasia. The good news is that he has perfect vision in his other eye and is given pain meds only as needed for the displasia. The ideal home environment for him would be one with plenty of room for him to move about freely - without stairs, or being crated (because of the cramped quarters and displasia) and one that can appreciate a dog who has had a hard life... He also loves to spend some time outdoorsand if there were a few other dog companions - even better. Most often damaged animals prove to be one of the best companions! I would love to foster this big guy - but have multiple sets of stairs to conquer throughout out typical daily routine... Long sets of stairs to enter the house, another long set to go outside, and then an even longer group of stairs at my studio. A few stairs... ok - but that many s just not fair to him. BUT WHAT A GORGEOUS, SWEET LOOKING GUY!
