What a Mens conference this weekend on the theme of Legacy at Prestonwood Baptist Church! I have selected just one golden nugget of wisdom and truth from each speaker that meant the most to me: Skip Heitzig - If I will take care of my character, God will take care of my reputation Matt Carter - What does my wife (or future wife) need the most from me? PURSUE her....CHERISH her...VALUE her....and POINT HER TO JESUS!! Colt McCoy - The legacy of having a jersey retired will be forgotten one day but the legacy of living for Jesus will last forever! Tony Evans - No matter how good a bowler looks in his appearance, if his ball is in still in the gutter, then he is not very useful to the Lord! Rob Wilton - If I am not facing a resistance from Satan, then I am probably not doing much for Jesus! Don Wilton - Dont ever come to the place of RATIONALIZING my SIN! Ron Kelley - God is the owner of everything I possess...I am just a steward of it....so I should be passionate about wanting to financially further the kingdom David McKinley - Legacy is not based on what I have accomplished but on the number of people I have influenced. Will my legacy be STARS to aspire others or SCARS for others to overcome?
