What a Sabbath day this has been!!!!! I played for the opening of the 11:00 am service at Metropolitan Seventh-day Adventist Church, then hussled over to The Takoma Park Seventh-day Adventist Church to play for the service on that wonderful organ for the University of the Southern Caribbean (former Caribbean Union College) Alumni 2014 Celebration. I was privileged to play with one of my former students, the gifted pianist and professor, Victoria Alma Castello. The childrens story was told very effectively for every age by Dr. Sylvan A. Lashley, Dean of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at USC. Pastor Dr. Lael Caesar of the General Conference and an alumnus offered the stirring word. And the food they offered after in the Keystone Room, Salad, Bus-up Shut, curried potatoes, pumpkin, spinach and mango chutnee, and delightful juice (probably had pineapple and orange and I dont know what else, but it was good). And then to meet friends I have not seen for ages. Then came home after 4:00 pm with my husband, Edgar E. Adjahoe to chill and listen to music. The sun is setting on a perfect day. God blessed this day.
