What a blessing to be home, sleep in my own bed with fresh, crisp ironed sheets, yes, ironed sheets. Its a little perk. Traveling is an opportunity to develop a global rather than local view. I see what God is doing around the world, understand countries, the challenges of different nations, learn what different people eat and how they live. Perhaps the most significant thing is that I learn commonalities. Everyone needs to feel secure in love, feel significant, having a sense of worth. Ive also seen that around the world the church struggles with performance and busyness. Do, do, do. And the people, though busy for God, are not secure in Gods love nor most leaders love. I believe part of this worldwide revival must come out of a deep love for a god and for people. Otherwise there will not be a heart change. I see such amazing things happening as we move from a deep place of Gods love, our intrinsic worth because of Him and moving from our heart rather than our mind. In Croatia, when they perceived the incredible love of Jesus, people just wept their way to a deeper place in God, some wept their way back to God, others finally felt safe to reconcile and come home. Im enjoying my home retreat, my safe place where I can continually refresh myself in the love of God. And Im savoring the incredible work of God in peoples hearts when they feel loved and safe.
