What a blessing to have spent this week (Sunday through Wednesday - TopicsExpress

What a blessing to have spent this week (Sunday through Wednesday evening) in Waco, Texas with some of my favorite people at Cornerstone Baptist Church. I praise the Lord for the souls saved and lives eternally altered by Gods truth! Many thanks to Pastor Jim Daniels and the fine folks at Cornerstone for their kindness toward me, and for extending invitations to their friends and family to attend last weeks revival meeting, especially Wednesday evening and the much anticipated message--ISIS And Islam--Is This Really A Religion Of Peace? The Lord met mightily with us, for which I praise Him! It is always stirring to see eyes opened, minds enlightened, and hearts changed by Gods unchanging truth! In addition to the great meeting, I was able to get into, and onto the actual playing surface of, the new McLean Stadium--the home of the one-loss Baylor Bears, who finished 5th in the nation in college football this year. As some of you know, my sweetheart, Betsy, attended Baylor for several years prior to transferring to SC, where we met. What is happening at Baylor is outstanding! Their new President is Ken Starr, of Bill Clinton impeachment fame. Dr. Starr is a down to earth man of vision, character and Christian grace. What God has used him to do at Baylor is nothing short of phenomenal! There is a spirit of appropriate pride that has returned to the university, as well as a commitment to the principles that once made Baylor a highly respected institution. Its good to see God bless the entirety of an institution because of the faithfulness of one man, much like God blessed Potiphars house because of Joseph. After 15 hours of driving yesterday, I am now home for Christmas with my dear family. There is much that we will enjoy at our home church, as well as with family and friends! I have been eagerly anticipating all of it! Other than daily radio and a few local preaching opportunities, I am enjoying some much needed change of pace. Attached is an absolutely much watch video of Sheriff Clarke of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While I do not condone some of his word choices (at just a couple places), I certainly do endorse his spirit, clarity, and resolute determination to tell it like it ACTUALLY is! I urge you to take a few moments to digest his comments relative to the tragedy in Ferguson, Missouri. It is EXACTLY this kind of purposeful and dynamic leadership that is needed across America, and especially in the White House! When placed alongside Sheriff Clarke, President Obama looks like a kindergartener! So, I pass this on to you, and dedicate it to my dear friends in the law enforcement community--especially my dear friend in Miami-Dade, Ed Stephens! Sheriff Clarke embodies the spirit and character I see in my friend Ed, as well as in those who put their lives on the line to serve and protect!
