What a busy but great weekend for Riley. Friday nights football - TopicsExpress

What a busy but great weekend for Riley. Friday nights football game was a great game for the boys despite the loss. Proud of them. Thank you to Pilot Point for remembering Riley in the prayer before the game. Also, a thank you to the lady from Pilot Point who came over to talk to Riley after the game ended. The hug you gave him was awesome! Riley always tries to put his hand up to shake if someone offers their hand but its hard for him to get his hands up and out to shake. If it wasnt for the hand braces he wears his hands would flop as he has no control over them. He normally does a fist bump or the person just grabs his hand with both of theirs. To hug him without hesitation is priceless. So thank you for not letting the chair stop you from giving him the hug. It is always great to meet people from VA or other communities who pray for Riley. Saturday morning Riley was the Grand Marshall in VAs Fall der All parade. Thank you to everyone who was there cheering for Riley. I love our town and the support it has shown! We left VA after the parade and headed to Belton to see Sydney as she turned 20 on Saturday! It was Rileys first road trip and stay away from home at night. A first for all of us and we didnt know what to expect. We were able to see the second half of UMHBs football game and spend time with Syd and some of her friends. Riley had a chance to also meet and talk to Coach Fredenburg, UMHBs head football coach after the game. Saturday night we celebrated Sydneys bd at dinner and enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend and his family. It was a small challenge in the hotel room despite it being handicap accessible, so we learned what to really ask for and need for our next road trip. Today we had lunch with Sydney before heading home! Miss her already! Riley and her laughed and had fun. He loves UMHB which I know makes Sydney happy as she would love for Riley to join her there. To have them together always makes me happy. Blessed!! Tomorrow is the start of another busy week and hoping we can get through it without any complications! Please continue to pray for Riley. Pray for strength and for continued good health. Riley is ready to work hard this week! God is good always and we are so thankful. Karla
