What a busy day after a very quiet start to the week! We had new, regular and returning customers enjoyed food from every section of the menu both eating in and take away. We had an order for a gluten-free birthday cake (always happy to oblige) and one for our large, legendary, three tier chocolate cake decorated with milk chocolate fingers and malteasers. The knit and natterers were in, as always on a Thursday afternoon. There was a lot of nattering going on today and a fair but of naughtiness. Love it! :D. Theyre working out what their next project will be.... watch this space but I think the knitted chickens will be making their return! We have chocolate fudge cake, mocha muffins, lemon drizzle cake and rock cakes on the counter tomorrow but as we had to make the cakes twice over today Im wondering how long theyll last! Lynne has the day off tomorrow so I am on breakfast-cooking duty and, as we usually make at least 40 breakfast goodies on a Friday morning, I shall have to make sure Im on the ball! Tomorrows curry is saag aloo - potato and spinach - lightly spiced and very tasty :)
