What a change. Today we begin 1 Corinthians 4 I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 5 For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge—6 God thus confirming our testimony about Christ among you. 7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 8 He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.9 God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Today, let’s take a look at the differences that are in our lives after we give our lives to Jesus. There are three ways in which our lives are “enriched” (verse 5). First of all, we don’t talk the same. The things we say are not the same as our friends who don’t know Jesus. We don’t have the need to use bad language all the time. Second, there is a knowledge that we have that serves us well. With the Holy Spirit inside of us, we see the world in a different way. We understand why people do what they do far better than a lost person. There is a spiritual perspective of the world in which we live that a Believer possesses that an unbeliever simply does not have. Third, we have the expectation of a glorious ending. The end for which we eagerly await needs some more attention. For those who have trusted Jesus as Savior, the end brings some quite awesome realities. Finally, we will be perfect. We will be blameless. Verse 8 is quite clear that we are kept firm by God. There is no chance of us slipping back into our former life. Read John 10:27-30. God is faithful. As we will see later in this book, this is the point where we are changed. The mortal body we now live in will one day be turned into an immortal one. There is a great expectation for the Believer. Enjoy a great Friday.
