What a concert this was. Our invited guests seemed impressed with the programme and the artists. Ten Young Soloists from Kronberg Academy along with pianists Elisaveta Blumina and Walter Delahunt performed nine compositions in various ensemble settings. When the concert began Gidon Kremer took centre stage and was accompanied by three of the young artists to perform Weinberg´s Sonata op. 69 for two violins. Before part two of the workshop concert was about to begin Maestro Kremer delivered a few personal words underlining the special nature and character of Kronberg as a place where musicians gather and regularly get deep inspiration. And with the next project for the Academy, realising a chamber music hall, would be a pertinent fit for the city and Kronberg Academy to make things complete. Music doesn´t lie, were his last words, making reference to the current crisis involving the Ukraine and Russia. This concert manifested the extra-ordinary stature of a still less known composer and, in conclusion, made the project for our Young Soloists a one-of-a kind experience.
