What a crazy afternoon! Rush home from work, ate lunch, picked up fans (thanks becky!!) while Brandon dropped off the truck for the second fix attempt, met at Brandons moms house to swim in the pool (cold but sooo fun), rushed to dinner, rushed to the park for SCA fighting practice and play on the playground equipment. All fun except for the last thing. Gannon was doing so good climbing on the equipment I was letting him do it himself while following closely behind. I swear it all happened so quickly and yet so slowly. He slipped on a step, his hand missed the railing. I literally dived for him and felt him slip through my hands and fall about 5 feet down to the bark chips. He landed on his back and got the wind knocked out of him. I ran/jumped down to him and inspected him closely a dad said i saw him fall and he did not land on his head so he should be ok I proceeded to make very sure he was ok. G man cried for less than a minute and got annoyed with my super inspecting him and ran off to play some more. Scariest moment ever and my son didnt even care that much. Anyone else have a fall incident like that with your child? Thank god they bounce...a little. It was straight out of that 90s movie Cliffhanger where I was Sylvester Stallone and Gannon was the person that falls and dies and I was just hanging there yelling Nooooo!!! I never ever want to be Sylvester again. Never again.
