What a crock of crap. I have a 4 year minor in psychology and I can tell you this is total bullsh%t. What psychiatrist really do is try to find some way of labeling you because most psychological disorders are pharisaical. They will depend on someone you know to make comments that they can use to diagnose you and then pull a label out of their backside from the latest version of the DSM 4 TR (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual 4 TR) before they make you dependent on a drug that is unnecessary or do an unethical treatment based on this pharisaical diagnosis like ECT (Electro Convulsive Therapy), which is only used as a last resort for major depressives and is useless on a person with Schizophrenia, or they will use the latest technology founded out of MK-ULTRA, which the CIA discovered for mind control and private citizens were experimented on without their consent and former President Bill Clinton apologized for because a woman exposed it with secret documents. This latest therapy that came out of MK-ULTRA is called TMS (Trans-Cranial Magnetic Stimulation) that does deep brain electromagnetic pulses similar to ECT to get you to forget or blot out a memory or alter your mood, anger zones (Reptilian vs. Mammalian brain), stimulate areas of the brain like motor cortex that can cause fake heart attacks amongst other nasty things. The Arizona Araipo Sheriff wanted to use one MK-Ultra device on inmates for crowd control. The wave would cause the water underneath their skin to boil. This is how the world can be put under control in mass to scar off the weak minded people; just like they did in the Soviet Republic with Secret Police. Scary Stuff. Psychiatry is for the most part a pseudo science. They cannot even prove a diagnosis is correct; just make an assumption and throw medication at it.
